Before the end of this year I plan to produce the quintessential Brisbane Album.

Bringing together the best underground and unsigned artists in the Brisbane, Australia to produce an album that will redefine the Brisbane music scene and solidify the city as the world-renown epicentre for music entertainment.

Over the last 6 years Michael Monroe Casey has been an integral cog in the development of hundreds of Brisbane based musicians and recording artists. This album will bring the best of those artists together to further develop their careers and bring world wide recognition to the city and it’s bubbling talent pool.

The album will be comprised of soul, funk & hiphop influences all infused with a uniquely Brisbane flavour.

It's another Wednesday afternoon in Brisbane and the weather is perfect. 

The sky is a vibrant blue, with some hints of white cloud around; the sun is bright and warm when it hits you, but there's a kiss of cool air on your cheek, as summer is reluctantly saying goodbye. 

I notice the weather on Wednesday more than any other day, because of JAM. Wednesday night JAM @ alloneword. 

Alloneword is a dark, but sexy little club in the seedy part of Brisbane's, Fortitude Valley. It might be the scary end of Brunswick st or the wrong side of the tracks, but at the right time of night on a Wednesday, if you turn off the street and come through the doors of this inconspicuous little cocktail bar… it's like Lucy pushing through old dirty coats in the wardrobe and finally arrivng in an open air Musical Narnia.  

A simple beer garden, transformed in to a music lovers paradise. Great sound system, instruments provided and a room full of people that share your passion. The JAM @ alloneword is the crowning jewel of everything that I've ever done musically and all the magic happens outside in the open air. 

Sitting here on my balcony reveling in summers goodbye kiss, but it's really as if she hadn't yet said hello. We've come off one of the wettest summers in history, still every Wednesday without fail, Brisbane has been jamming. That's the passion that JAM has brought to Brisbane musicians! We've been jamming no matter what the weather brings. Still, my mind always thinks about the night ahead every time I look up. 

So the next time you look to the sky on a Wednesday, think of me, thinking about it too.
